A GRAND Omaha senior portrait session
One of the things I love most about senior portraits is showcasing the diverse talents and hobbies of my senior clients. So, when this senior requested portraits in their home next to the grand piano, it was music to my ears! With a two story wall of windows, a gorgeous piano, and a talented senior, well, it’s what photographers dreams are made of.
As you can see, music is a huge part of Owen’s life. Not only is he an accomplished pianist, but a very talented baritone player for the Millard West Marching Band.
After a couple outfit changes at home, we did a few more portraits on the family property, then took a break for some caffeine and fruit snacks, and finished our time at Shadow Ridge Country Club with some outdoor portraits.
After Owen’s session, I met with him and his parents a few weeks later to go over all of his images set to music. I love seeing clients’ first reaction to their images. There’s always smiles, usually a few laughs, and sometimes tears (moms & dads, I’m talking to you! :-). We then go through and decide which images to keep and create a collection of artwork completely customized based on needs, style and budget. I absolutely love the artwork chosen by Owen and his parents, including an heirloom, fabric covered story box with mounted fine art prints, fine art story boards, a small framed fine art print, mini accordion books and keepsake photo books with beautiful leather covers and lay flat pages. Their collection turned out beautifully, and will be enjoyed for many years to come.
