I got a makeover
After months of planning, business coaching, online learning, website building, writing, designing, number crunching, I’m excited to share that Jill Carson Photography has received a major makeover.
Guys, I almost can’t even put into words what the last year has looked like for me - it was such a year of growth, learning and self reflection. It’s been an amazing journey and I’m so excited for the future.
As I reflected on the business side of things, I took a long, hard look at my why. Why I love taking photographs and why I love working with other kids and families. Childhood is so fleeting. And as a family photographer, I literally get to stop time with the images I create. That moment that I capture in an image…it will never happen again. Each moment is unique, each second is precious, and I get to use my craft to document and compose these moments into beautiful artwork for families to cherish for years to come. Our family pictures are irreplaceable treasures, and because of that, I put my heart and soul into what I do.
With that said, I’d like to share with you three things: a new logo, a new website and new products that I am offering my clients.
LOGO
A lot of thought went into the design of my new logo and conveying my “why.” It resembles an hourglass, laid on its side, conveying a sense of stopping time; and also resembles an infinity mark, symbolizing the idea that family photos are images that we treasure forever.
WEBSITE
On my new website you’ll find a ton of information about working with me, Frequently Asked Questions, session pricing, a contact form to book a session and a portfolio of work that resembles my style as an artist. I invite you to take a look around!
PRODUCTS
When was the last time you printed your pictures? In our digital age, it’s very easy for our pictures to get lost on a hard drive or buried in an online social media album. And while I am still offering digital files in the packages I’ve created to choose from, I also now offer high quality, professional prints, canvases and other artwork in all of my packages. The options are endless - from basic prints that you can frame, to mounted or metal prints, to keepsake boxes, there are all sorts of fun and amazing ways to display your family photos or child/senior portraits.
When you hire a family photographer, it should be an investment into more than a small thumbnail image that you use for your online profile or that gets thrown away after the holiday cards have been sent out. Rather, you should have these images up in your home, a daily, physical reminder of those in your life who are most important to you; and, those images should be of the highest quality, to stand the test of time…where and how you print your photos really does matter! (Check out this article for a comparison of photo labs.) With each product order, I handle everything from start to finish, to ensure that your image files are processed precisely as needed according to the type of artwork you’ve ordered. When you work with me, I take care of every detail so that you don’t have to worry about it. I’ll even hand deliver it to your doorstep!
