Millard Marching Band Senior

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard as I did at this Millard West senior picture session.  Miles has a big personality and was so much fun to work with!  His entire family has a gift for music, so his session design included not only the family grand piano, but also marching band and drum corps.

First up: grand piano!!  We started inside at his family home, and after getting the shots we needed with the piano, we headed outside for some more formal portraits using their landscaping as our backdrop.  Once that was over, I asked Miles, “Would you be up for a little drive over to the high school?  I have some ideas for your marching band portraits.” I had noticed the band trailer parked at the school when I was out scouting a few days prior, so we started there.  I just love the images of him with the Wildcat mascot in the background.  As we reached the end of session 1, we headed to the entrance of the school, and used some exterior features of the school to get creative with perspective, point of view and reflections using windows!
